Lost in Pirouettes

Rotoscope Animation

Lost in Pirouettes is a short rotoscope animation, which I produced because I enjoy combining analogue and digital processes. To begin, I exported a short clip of a ballerina doing a pirouette into individual frames, which I then turned into contact sheets. These sheets were used as a reference when making coloured pencil drawings of the ballerina. I scanned my drawings and animated them in Photoshop, forming a continuous loop.
